    This mountain bike tour is designed for private groups of 6 to 24 riders. It is ideal for MTB clubs, cycling associations, corporate groups, and groups of friends looking to explore the Sierra Nevada together. Whether you're a small group of six or a larger group of up to twenty-four cyclists, the tour can be tailored to suit your group's needs.

    Weather Conditions in Granada (Lower Altitudes)

    Conditions are generally very pleasant, with noticeable temperature differences between day and night.

    Discover the Sierra Nevada, the highest mountain on the Iberian Peninsula, on an unforgettable mountain bike adventure through one of the country's most diverse natural landscapes. This circular route takes you around the entire mountain range, revealing its many contrasts—from the lush southern slopes of the Alpujarras and the remote northern face of the Sierra Nevada to the spectacular badlands of the Gorafe Desert. Beyond its breathtaking scenery, Granada is also renowned for its rich history and culture. During your free day, you can explore the vibrant city of Granada and visit the world-famous Alhambra, a masterpiece of Moorish architecture and one of Spain's most iconic landmarks. Together, the spectacular landscapes and unique cultural heritage make this tour a truly unforgettable experience.

    Day 1 – Arrival in Níguelas

    Upon arrival at Málaga Airport, you will be transferred to Níguelas, a charming mountain village nestled on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada in the beautiful Lecrín Valley. Here, you'll stay in a peaceful rural hotel, the perfect base for the adventure ahead.

    We recommend arriving in the morning, allowing plenty of time to settle in and enjoy a relaxed start to your holiday. To celebrate the beginning of the tour, we've arranged a special welcome surprise: a delicious, freshly prepared paella lunch. It's the perfect way to get to know your fellow riders and start your mountain biking adventure in true Andalusian style.

    Day 2 – Níguelas to Guadix

    After breakfast, we transfer by bus to the starting point of today's ride. From here, we begin our mountain bike adventure along the northern slopes of the Sierra Nevada Natural Park, cycling through spectacular mountain scenery towards the historic region of Guadix, renowned for its unique cave dwellings. For the next two nights, we'll stay in a traditional cave hotel, offering a truly authentic and unforgettable Andalusian experience.

    Day 3 – Gorafe Desert

    Today's stage takes us directly from the hotel into one of the most extraordinary landscapes in southern Spain. We ride through the spectacular Gorafe Desert, exploring the heart of the UNESCO Granada Geopark, a unique landscape shaped by millions of years of erosion. The route winds through dramatic badlands, colourful canyons, dry riverbeds, and striking rock formations. After completing the loop through the desert, we return to our cave hotel by transport in Guadix for a second overnight stay.

    Day 4 – Sierra Nevada North

    After breakfast, we continue our journey along the northern slopes of the Sierra Nevada. Today's route takes us through the forests of the Sierra Nevada Natural Park, following scenic mountain bike trails surrounded by pine forests, open mountain landscapes, and breathtaking views of the highest peaks on the Iberian Peninsula. Our stage finishes in the picturesque mountain village of La Calahorra, dominated by its impressive Renaissance castle. Built in the early 16th century, La Calahorra Castle was one of the first Renaissance castles in Spain and remains one of the region's most iconic landmarks, standing proudly against the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada.

    Day 5 – The Alpujarras I

    Today's adventure begins with a transfer to Puerto de la Ragua (2,000 m), a mountain pass marking the border between the provinces of Granada and Almería. From here, we descend onto the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada, entering the beautiful region of La Alpujarra. Famous for its whitewashed Berber villages clinging to the mountainsides, La Alpujarra has a unique character shaped by its Moorish heritage. As we ride through this spectacular landscape, we'll pass traditional villages, terraced hillsides, and chestnut forests, with magnificent views across the surrounding mountains. Our destination is a charming, traditional Andalusian cortijo (country farmhouse), where we'll spend the night and experience the warm hospitality and rural atmosphere for which the region is renowned.

    Day 6 – The Alpujarras II

    Our final riding stage begins with a transfer from the hotel to Trevélez, the highest village in the Sierra Nevada, renowned throughout Spain for its traditionally cured Serrano ham. From here, we cycle to the breathtaking Poqueira Gorge, home to three of the region's most picturesque and authentic white villages: Capileira, Bubión, and Pampaneira. Our stop is the beautiful white village of Capileira, where you'll have time to wander through its narrow, winding streets, browse the local craft shops for souvenirs, and enjoy a coffee on one of the village's charming terraces. We then continue through La Taha, one of the most authentic areas of the Alpujarras, where a collection of tiny traditional white villages is connected by quiet mountain roads and scenic trails. This peaceful and unspoilt landscape offers a fitting finale to our journey around the Sierra Nevada. Our ride concludes at a panoramic viewpoint, where we'll celebrate the successful completion of all five stages with a well-deserved toast while taking in the breathtaking views. Afterwards, a transfer takes us back to our hotel in Níguelas, where our adventure around the Sierra Nevada comes full circle.

    Day 7 – Free Day in Granada

    After several unforgettable days on the trails, today is yours to enjoy at a more relaxed pace. A private transfer will take you to the historic city of Granada, where you can spend the day exploring one of Spain's most fascinating cultural destinations. Stroll through the charming streets of the old town, discover lively squares, and soak up the unique atmosphere created by centuries of Moorish and Spanish history. You may choose to visit the magnificent Alhambra, the world-famous palace and fortress complex that overlooks the city (advance booking is essential). Granada is also renowned for its vibrant culinary scene. Enjoy authentic Andalusian cuisine in one of the city's traditional tapas bars, where complimentary tapas are often served with your drink, or relax on a sunny terrace in one of the picturesque neighbourhoods. If you wish, you can end the day with an authentic flamenco performance, particularly in the historic Sacromonte district, where this passionate art form has deep cultural roots. At the end of the day, your private transfer will take you back to the hotel in Níguelas for your final evening of the tour.

    Day 8 – Departure

    After breakfast, it's time to say farewell to Granada. A private transfer will take you to Málaga Airport for your onward journey, bringing an end to an unforgettable mountain biking adventure around the Sierra Nevada.
